Our Story
Optimum Security was established in 2003 in King William's Town, where we focused mainly on technical installations of an electronic nature in which our expertise is foremost.
In 2005, when the demand for professional and responsible guarding together with efficient armed response was established, we expanded our force by acquiring another guarding company.
The two companies merged to provide a larger infrastructure and therefore better service to our customers. In 2007, we took on the East London market with great success. While we are an expanding player in the security industry, our belief in quality over quantity is steadfast.
We cover most aspects in the security industry, concentrating mainly on our guarding and 24HR armed response divisions.

Infrastructure
We currently employ 280 guards around the Border region, securing individual retail outlets, complexes, malls, and various government departments.
Our 24hour control room is monitored by video surveillance, voice recording and a PABX system ensuring the eradication of mistakes avoiding incorrect reactions.
Our control room operating staff are in radio contact with all response vehicles, the vehicles being fitted with a tracking system, thereby monitoring their position and movement at all times. Twelve 24hour armed response vehicles are maintained in King William's Town, East London, Stutterheim, and Dimbaza with 24hour supervision to monitor guards and alarms.
Amongst our team is a standby manager to react to any panic or burglary situation, a technician on standby for after hour emergencies that may occur, and an administrative staff compliment of 20 effecting the daily functions of our company.
Our main focus area is East London and King William's Town, but we service all surrounding areas.
